SURVEY WORKS

Site survey

• Preliminary Survey
  
• Existing Site Survey
  
  We undertake site survey, site engineering, and preparation of all site-specific drawings, site specific BOQ & construction details. The work consists of the following activities:
  
  
• Site Visit and Site inspection.- (GBT/RTT/POLE Mount/Wall Mount/Indoor solution)-3 candidates along with RF team.
  
• Site Suitability report in accordance with requirement
  
  STRUCTURAL STABILITY CERTIFICATION
  
• Structural Analysis of existing structure.
  
• Certification for stability by certified structural engineer for the selected candidate.
  
• Structural design of foundation and drawings for tower and DG for the selected candidate.
  
  STRUCTURAL DESIGN
  
• Detailed layout plan showing position of tower, shelter , DG and earthing pits location.
  
• Design of tower , shelter , DG foundations taking into account the site layout and space availability.
  
• Issuing final approved construction drawing along with BOQ and bar binding schedule.
  
  
  STRUCTURAL DESIGN APPROVAL
  
• Getting design approved from IIT , Delhi or from the agencies as demanded by the customer.
  
  SITE ACQUISITION
  We undertake site acquisition works, which consists of following activities:
  
• Identification of BTS candidate sites along with customer RF team.
  
• Discussion with the owners to explain the requirements.
  
• Preparation of the preference list of options with report for acquisition.
  
• Space ownership verification for the selected candidate site.
  
• Be associated with customer personnel for commercial negotiations & finalizations.
  
• Agreement with the owner on customer guidelines for the selected candidate site
  
  
  The following documents of the acquired site are submitted to the customer Lay Out Drawings
  
• Site Survey
  
• Site Engineering
  
• Preparation of site-specific drawings (Site layout plan & Site layout report).
  
  
  Site survey and inspection report will be provided for all the candidates site but the Site Engineering will be done for the selected candidate's site only.
  
  
  Structural Analysis Report
  
• Structural Analysis of existing structure.
  
• Certification for stability by certified structural engineer for the selected candidate.
  
• Structural design of foundation and drawings for tower and DG for the selected candidate.
  
  
  Foundation design
  
• Detailed layout plan showing position of tower, shelter , DG and earthing pits location.
  
• Design of tower , shelter , DG foundations taking into account the site layout and space availability.
  
• Issuing final approved construction drawing along with BOQ and bar binding schedule.
  
  
  FOUNDATION DESIGNS
  We undertake foundation design works for towers both ground based as well as roof top towers along with foundation of DGs and Shelter. :
  
  The steps involved are ; Ground Based Tower
  
• Doing soil testing as per IS codes.
  
• Design and choose between isolated and combined types of footing depending upon space availability.
  
• Offer optimum Foundation design as per SBC obtained from soil test.
  
• Getting design approved from IIT , Delhi or from the agencies as demanded by the customer.
  
  
  The steps involved are ; Roof Top Towers
  
• Doing structural analysis of the building if drawings are made available by owners.
  
• Alternatively carry out non destructive tests to ascertain building strength.
  
• Design the tower / DG / Shelter foundation depending upon beams grid and space availability
  
• Getting design approved from IIT , Delhi or from the agencies as demanded by the customer
  
• In case of load bearing structures , suggest to use light weight towers like Delta
  
  
  CIVIL WORKS
  We undertake all types of civil works pertaining to telecom sites like
  
• Foundation work of Roof top towers along with shelter/outdoor BTS fdn. and DG foundations.
  
• Foundation work of Ground based towers along with shelter/outdoor BTS fdn. and DG foundations.
  
• Any peripheral works like boundary wall, fencing works, guard room, toilets, approach road etc.
  
• Retaining walls in hilly areas.
  
  The various types of footings executed by us include isolated footings , combined footings , pile foundations and L and T type beams for DG / Shelter foundations.
  
  We have completed almost 600 numbers of footings for the towers ranging from 9 mtr to 60 mtr high towers with wind velocity ranging from 140 kmph to 220 kmph.
  
  ELECTRICAL WORKS

We undertake all types of electrical works pertaining to telecom sites like :

• Earthing pits.
  
• Main power supply.
  
• Supply and installation of meter box , ACDB boxes.
  
• Internal wiring of shelter / cage.
  
• External wiring from change over switch to DG and to ACDB.
  
• Supply and installation of aviation light and cable.
  
  We have completed electrical work at more than 500 sites in various parts of India .
  
  PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES
  ASTRAL provides an ample range of services for the management of projects in the Telecom Infrastructure Solutions. It can be elaborated in following stages :-
  
  Project Management Delivery
  
• Forecast, plan and schedule the site rollout to comply with the projects roll-out schedule in close consultation with the customer.
  
• Management of all BTS activities, customer interface to site requirements & Telecom Implementation (Installation, Commissioning and Integration).
  
• Confirm Quality requirements, coordination of trouble shooting task, timely delivery of information, personnel and other resources required to ensure completion of projects on agreed schedules.
  
• Provides telecom implementation tools, supervises tools used, distributes forecasting of TI materials, provides acceptance certificates to suppliers.
  
  
  Quality Supervision and Field Management
  
• Delivers the services and implemented works according to defined quality criteria; manages quality control of BTS implementation.
  
• Prepares and manages punch lists outlining sites deficiencies, provide evidence to corrective actions taken and verify that deficiencies have been remedied.
  
• Inputs the site quality information for query database for BTS sites
  
  
  Documentation
  
• Implement and manage documentation and correspondence procedures within the organization
  
• Production of original blank site folder in accordance with format specified for site specific documentation, manage and update site folder and prepare folder for acceptance process.
  
• Record minutes of meeting with customer, prepare and follow up action lists based on meeting minutes
  
• Plan and organize the information flow and communication within project to ensure coordination and clear understanding about share of responsibilities and escalation with customer.
  
  
  Office Facilities
  
• Provides all types of office facilities like PMO, sub region PMO to support the rollout schedule and office utilities
  
  
  Risk Analysis
  
• Forecast, identify, analyze any possible risk in project implementation and inform customer.
  
  
  Customer Acceptance
  Manage the customer acceptance procedures in accordance with project requirements, identify barriers in site acceptance, manage all site acceptance visits, manage all technical and administrative issues relating to closure of project and rectification of all punch points identified by customer are remedied .
  
  
  Supplies and Related Services
  
• Collect surplus material and transport it to intermediate store facility
  
• Dumping of debris and garbage
  
  
  LIASIONING SERVICES

We liaison with various statutory bodies to make the sites serviceable. For any site to be operational the following clearances from statutory bodies are required:-.

• Municipal approval
  
• Electricity connection
  
• Pollution board approval
  
• SACFA Clearance.
  
  
  All the required documents required to be submitted to the respective owners are collected by us and as per the rules and regulations of the dept. , the papers are submitted along with required statutory fees and the approvals are obtained in the minimum possible time.
