PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL (PCM)
Our associate UFoam is an exclusive partner of PCP in India and has following to offer:-
About PCM:-
Mattress Range
A Phase Change Material (PCM) absorbs heat energy during phase change process from solid to liquid and remains at the same temperature while changing phase.
When the temperature drops below the phase change temperature the same amount of heat energy is discharged as the PCM solidifies. A common PCM is water changing from ice to water. The PCM technique stabilizes your telecom station at the same temperature while changing phase. The PCM, we use changes phase at 29°C
Why PCM In Telecom:-
Power failure is very common in developing countries, telecom enclosures are equipped with electronic equipments and battery banks.
When the power fails the temperature inside the BTS starts rising very rapidly due to heat generated by equipments and also due to ambient conditions.
Diesel Generators are provided to give back up, however they are prone to high failure rate besides resulting in high operating costs.
To minimize the dependence on generators, back up air conditioning may be provided by Phase Change Material (PCM).
